Boulder Emergency Squad
The Boulder Emergency Squad is actively seeking new volunteers for 2012. BES is looking for people who would like to be rescuers as well as those who are interested in non-rescue activities like facilities, accounting, vehicle maintenance, fundraising, grant writing, recruiting, etc. Visit the website or call Lt. Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art

Colorado Horse Rescue
CHR enlists the skills of a large team of volunteers to prepare feed buckets, clean and fill troughs, muck out stalls and pens, and keep the barn organized. Volunteers must be 18 or older; ages 14-17 can volunteer with an adult. 720-494-1414

Colorado House-Rabbit Society

Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center

Emergency Family Assistance Association

Girl Scouts of America
GSA is always looking for adult volunteers to assist with the many programs they offer youth and adult members.

Greenwood Wildlife Sanctuary
Help rehabilitate the sick, injured and orphaned animals at the sanctuary by preparing food, cleaning habitats and hand-feeding baby animals. Located between Lyons and Longmont. 303-545-5849.

Imagine! Colorado
Imagine! is a nonprofit organization in Lafayette that strives to create and offer innovative supports to people of all ages with cognitive, developmental, physical and health-related needs so they may live fulfilling lives of independence and quality in their homes and communities. Moving to End Sexual Assault (MESA)
Volunteer on the 24-hour crisis hotline and accompany survivors to the hospital, police interviews and court appearances. MESA’s volunteer counselor training consists of 40 hours of intensive education. Bilingual counselors are particularly needed to staff the Spanish-language hotline. 303-443-0400.

Thorne Ecological Institute
