Boulder Senior Center Activities, Boulder County Senior Centers and Events


BOULDER COUNTY PARKS AND OPEN SPACE NATURE HIKES

Seniors get their own hikes the last Thursday of every month, thanks to Boulder County Parks and Open Space. The hikes run from 10am-noon, and include information on the area’s history, wildlife and resource management. Meet at park entrance unless another location is specified below. 303-678-6214.

BOULDER SENIOR CENTERS ACTIVITIES

Boulder’s senior centers offer classes in Spanish, bridge, dancing, digital photography and more. Drop in for basketball or table tennis, or take off for a day trip. Visit the website or pick up a brochure at West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave., 303-441-3148; or East Boulder Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, 303-441-4150.

BOULDER SENIOR SERVICES

Boulder SSenior Services coordinates a variety of programs for seniors, including day trips, classes, picnics, health and wellness programs, and entertainment. Encore is an optional membership program that provides additional social events, activities, outings and discounts. CIRCLE OF CARE

Circle of Care is an Elder Enrichment Program that provides seniors with free transportation, companions, and tickets to community arts and cultural events. 303-449-8884.

LAFAYETTE SENIOR CENTER

The center, at 103 S. Iowa Ave., offers daily lunches at the Eat, Meet ‘N Greet Cafe; monthly Twilight Suppers; Lunch and Learn lectures; support groups, clubs, shopping excursions and much more. 303-665-9052.

LONGMONT SENIOR SERVICES

Longmont Senior Services publishes “Go,” a quarterly newsletter that lists services and activities for seniors throughout Longmont. The Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Ave., also offers classes, movie and game days, day trips, foot-care clinics, health screenings and more. 303-651-8411.

LOUISVILLE SENIOR CENTER

For active citizens 55 and older, the Louisville Senior Center offers classes and workshops, fitness and sports opportunities, trips, a computer lab and more. Open Mon-Fri at 900 W. Via Appia, Louisville. 303-666-7400.

Seniors on Bikes

Seniors on Bikes, with more than 60 members strong, was founded by several local seniors who meet Wednesdays and Fridays for rides around Boulder County. These rides are open to the public. Please check in one day in advance to verify ride times and locations by calling 303-494-2890 or e-mailing seniorsonbikes @ gmail.com.
