Boulder-based Global Education Fund focuses on helping children around the world to achieve better lives through education. The non-profit recently introduced a new program that partners with Boulder Horizons K-8 School, which is now offering an elective, two-month class called “Make a Difference.” The class “teaches students the importance of community service, both locally and globally.” One component of the class has students specifically learning about the lives of orphans in Kenya and how they can help those children through facilitating access to education.
