BOULDER FARMERS' MARKET FINE ARTS & CRAFTS SALE, April 26 & May 10

This springtime rite—now in its 15th season—pairs handmade art with Colorado’s largest farmers’ market. Boulder County’s Open Studios draws some 65,000 studio visitors each year. THE SHOOTOUT BOULDER, annually in Fall

Teams have 24 hours to create a 7-minute “fast film” using only in-camera editing and incorporating a list of prescribed items (a fire hydrant, an alien, a willow tree, etc.). Volunteers judge the entries, and a gala screening of the best is held at Boulder Theater. Families and amateurs, as well as professionals, are welcome to participate.
