It’s baaaack! We thought we’d lost this popular program, but Boulder Outdoor Cinema begins its 14th season July 11, hosting showings every Friday and Saturday night. Feature presentations at 9pm are preceded by live entertainment and trivia and costume contests. Check website for full schedule. Boulder Outdoor Cinema occupies the back lot of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, 1750 13th St. 720-317-7498; www.boulderoutdoorcinema.com.
WEATHER POLICY General Guidelines: The Colorado Front Range is notorious for rapidly changing weather patterns. The scattered thunder storms that are prominent during the late summer afternoons normally come and go with just a refreshing shower. The dark sky can intimidate and it may look grim for an outdoor movie, but don't let that scare you away. Unless there is lightning in the near vicinity or it's just dumping rain without any sign of letting up...The Show Will Go On! (Exception: If they only have a dozen or so people sitting in the rain, they could postpone the movie.) If it starts to pour during the movie and you're not up for enduring the storm, event staff will provide you with a complimentary ticket. Regrettably, BOC is unable to provide refunds. Movie will continue to be shown in a light rain.
