Public Facilities

BOB L. BURGER RECREATION CENTER

This full-service recreation center has a fitness atrium with free weights, Cybex machines, LifeCycles, Stairmasters and more, as well as racquetball courts, a gymnasium, a pool and a cushioned indoor running track. Also offers a variety of classes.

BOULDER RECREATION CENTERS

Offers classes for all ages in aerobics, yoga, stretching, dance, weight training, rock climbing, martial arts, volleyball and more, as well as children’s multi-sport triathlon and other activities. The rec centers offer Peak Fitness testing for men and women, strength-training equipment, weight rooms, indoor lap pools, racquetball, tennis, basketball, volleyball, saunas and whirlpools. The East Center also has an indoor climbing wall and Cycle Reebok Spinning, while the newly remodeled North Center has an expanded gymnastics facility and a new leisure pool. Programs are available for people with disabilities and special assistance can be arranged.

LONGMONT RECREATION CENTER

LOUISVILLE RECREATION CENTER

This full-service recreation center offers racquetball courts, two free-weight rooms, a gymnasium, a cardiovascular training area, an aerobics studio, a Spinning facility, an indoor track and a pool. Also offers fitness, martial arts, gymnastics and aquatics classes, senior activities and adults’ and children’s league sports.

YMCA OF BOULDER VALLEY MAPLETON CENTER

A membership or day pass at either center accesses a variety of fitness classes and activities including sport fitness, kickboxing, body sculpting, conditioning programs, free weights, SilverSneakers, martial arts, dance, yoga, tai chi, skate fitness and more. The Mapleton Center has an indoor pool; the Arapahoe Center has an indoor ice skating rink. Also offers fitness evaluations and massage.


Private Gyms

Colorado Athletic Club Boulder

When the club opens in December, it will feature 40,000 square feet of space, with indoor and outdoor pools and an outdoor pool house. Dedicated studios cater to group fitness, Pilates, yoga, Spinning, and Compu-Trainer cycling. Outdoor water adventure includes a kids’ pool and outdoor water play area.

Come inside to conquer outside: Experience Boulder’s upscale adult fitness facility, specializing in functional training, weight-management programs, nutrition and group experiences. This private facility offers aerobics and yoga classes; group and individual weight-training with certified instructors; strength-training equipment; a cardiovascular room with elliptical and rowing machines, Stairmasters, Nordic Track and treadmills; a spinning facility; racquet sports; massage; and year-round indoor and outdoor lap pools, 303-449-4800.
