REAL Awards Contest Rules
Eligibility: The contest is open to locally owned businesses, individuals, and organizations, located in Boulder County. The ten categories for the 2012 Boulder County REAL Awards are described in the Award Category Descriptions section. Any person may nominate more than one entity, provided a nomination form is completed for each. A person may nominate themself. The 2011 REAL Award winners are not elligible for a 2012 REAL Award.
Nominations: Nominations will be submitted online on a form supplied by Brock Media. Contest winners will be determined on the basis of descriptions contained in the Nomination form and follow-up information, if requested. Nomination forms can be completed at getboulder.com/REAL/nominate. Nominations must be received on or before February 29, 2012.
Publicity: It is a condition of the contest that nominees consent to and permit publication of their names in publicity materials disseminated as the sponsors deem best in their discretion, and that Finalists consent to and permit publication of the their likeness and description of their achievements as set forth in the Nomination Form and follow-up information.
Decisions Regarding Contest Winners: Finalists and Winners will be selected by a committee made up of a cross-section of representatives from the Boulder County community, in their sole discretion, based upon information contained in the nomination form and follow-up information as requested, reflecting the nominee's contribution to the community through commitment, creativity, knowledge, hard work, inspiration, perseverance or other unique factors. Decisions will be made and announced to Finalists in advance of the REAL Awards ceremony, so that finalists may make arrangements to assure their attendance. Winners will be announced at The REAL Awards ceremony and receive their award at that time.
Recognition Reception: Each Finalist will receive two tickets to attend The REAL Awards ceremony on April 19, 2012 6:30 pm at The Hotel Boulderado, 2115 13th Street, Boulder, CO. for use by the finalist or a friend or family member. Additional tickets may be purchased from Brock Media. Each nominee will be recognized in the event program. Finalists will be identified in the event program and on the slide loop along with a brief description of the basis for their nomination.
