Barbed Wire Books

Center of the American West
Dec. 7: The center’s “Words to Stir the Soul” series spotlights some of the region’s best writing by bringing together writers and readers. The Dec. 7 event features Boulder poet and essayist Reg Saner, who became Boulder’s first poet laureate in 1999. 7pm at CU’s Old Main Chapel.
Left Hand Books
This shop is one of the last remaining all-volunteer, collective-run radical bookstores in the country. It offers author readings, films, book and magazine discussion groups, and more. The store is at 1200 Pearl St., No. 10 (below street level at Pearl and Broadway). 303-443-8252.

“So You’re a Poet” Reading Series
