Feast your way through the Mediterranean region with the Mediterranean Restaurant’s cuisine, adopted from regions of France, Greece, Spain and Italy, to name just a few. Start with tapas—prosciutto and melon, lamb meatballs with a tomato-sherry sauce, roasted beets with horseradish creme, or mozzarella caprese with fresh tomatoes and basil. Enjoy classic Italian pizzas from the wood-burning oven, like the classic Margherita with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella, or the Salsicca pizza with tomato sauce, spicy chorizo, fresh mushrooms and mozzarella. Fresh salads include the Greek salad with cucumber half moons, tomato wedges, chopped garlic, red onions and chopped Kalamata olives tossed with olive oil, lemon and sea salt and served with a feta wedge and an herb vinagrette. Sandwiches include the Med Dip—pastrami-style New York strip steak, caramelized onions, mozzarella, Dijon and Cabernet jus. Other entrées include paella Valencia, a traditional Spanish dish with saffron rice, tomatoes, peas, roasted red pepper, Petaluma Farms chicken, chorizo and shrimp. Desserts include chocolate budino tart, a rich chocolate custard in a chocolate tart finished with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt, and the frangipane torte, an almond cake filled with strawberry preserves and topped with creamy Mascarpone cheese and crème anglaise. Wines come from the Mediterranean and California. Happy hour daily from 3-6:30pm features half-price appetizers and $1 off draft beers, house wines and premium liquors. Downtown parking validated.
