Colorado Events Presents Three Holiday Gift Festivals
Dec. 2-3, 11, 17: Get your holiday shopping done at three free events (with free hot chocolate) that feature hundreds of gift ideas plus holiday-themed activities.
- Dec. 2-3: Denver Gift Gala, 11am-9pm, at Denver Center for the Performing Arts; includes Colorado Gingerbread House Competition and free gingerbread house- building area

Estes Park Holiday Home Tour
Dec. 3: This annual tour showcases some of Estes Park’s finest homes, decked out in holiday finery. 11am. Call 970-586-5800 for ticket information and other details.
Miracle on 29th Street
Dec. 3, 10, 17: Holiday festival at the Twenty Ninth Street Shopping District features storytime, visits and photos with Santa (bring your personal camera), holiday cookie decorating, visits with Santa’s reindeer and free horse-drawn carriage rides. 5-8pm at 1710 29th St. 303-444-0722.
New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball
Dec. 31: This year’s big bash at the Boulderado includes dancing to two bands in different parts of the hotel. There’s also food and drink specials at the hotel’s bars and restaurants, and an optional dinner buffet. The party starts at 8:30pm in the historic lobby and goes until 1am. 303-440-2880.
NYE @ BMOCA
Dec. 31: Ring in the new year at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, complete with hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight. BMoCA is at 1750 13th St.
Spot the Elf
Through Dec. 20: Spot the Elf is a monthlong scavenger hunt for elves hiding at businesses in Old Town Lafayette. Pick up a passport booklet at participating merchants to keep track of all the elves you find. Spot them all and be entered to win prizes.
St. Nick on the Bricks
Through Dec. 17: Santa is ready to pose for photos with little ones, 11am-2pm at 1303 Pearl St., every Saturday until Dec. 17. 303-449-3774.
