Boulder Creek Festival
May 26-28: Boulder’s biggest festival is celebrating 25 years. Kick off the start of summer with three days of festivities featuring five performance stages, carnival rides, food and beverages, and 500 vendors, plus the signature event, the Great Rubber Duck Race. The fun stretches from 9th Street to 14th Street, between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue.
Estes Park Winter Festival
Jan. 13-16: Head up to Estes Park for this annual event with an ice castle and maze, pony rides, chili cookoff, wine and beer tasting, scavenger hunt, horse and carriage rides and live music. At the Fairgrounds, 1209 Manford Ave. 800-443-7837.
Frozen Dead Guy Days
March 2-4: Nederland residents and fans from all over gather annually in this mountain town to celebrate all things frozen. Events include a frozen salmon toss, the polar plunge, coffin races, snow volleyball and a frozen T-shirt contest, plus lots of live music, food and drinks.
