Experience French-inspired cuisine from all regions of France. Choose from a variety of hors d’oeuvres, including grilled fava beans tossed with sea salt, or steak tartare. Stop by any day of the week to enjoy plat du jour selections like bouillabaisse or beef à la bourguignonne. Sample delicious salads, sandwiches or the Brasserie hot dog, a foot-long hot dog smothered in Mornay sauce with field greens, roasted-pepper relish, two types of Dijon and aged balsamic on an artisanal bun. Other entrées include grilled lamb chops with rosemary and pan-roasted Alaskan halibut. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Champagne-guava mousse or mochaccino pot de crème. Sat-Sun brunch featured traditional breakfast egg dishes and breakfast sandwiches on a toasted bialy from the in-house bakery. The wine list focuses on French varietals and offers French-press coffee. Happy Hour 3-6pm daily features $1 off all appetizers, $6 sandwiches, half price on tap beers, and $3 featured wine and premium liquors. Downtown parking validated. Recently opened in Niwot just 15 minutes from Boulder, Colterra features northern Italian and southern French cuisine. Using local produce (some from its own garden) and sustainable fish and meats, Colterra offers a variety of dining options. Try the “small plate” format and sample several courses, each paired with the wine of your choice. After an opener of duck-liver pâté with bronzed apples, or the red-Bordeaux spinach salad, settle into the honey-cured pork tenderloin with asparagus and potato purée, or spring-vegetable gnocchi with Parmigiano-Reggiano and crème fraîche. For dessert, savor a pear-almond tart with Baileys ice cream or a “chocolate symphony” while listening to Colterra’s live jazz, nightly from 6-8pm.
