Handcrafted in Tajikistan and reassembled in Boulder, the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is the only authentic Persian teahouse in the Western Hemisphere. Vibrant painted ceilings, carved cedar columns, ornate plaster walls and a sculpture fountain provide an airy ambience during the day and casual elegance at night. Begin with an appetizer such as the Armenian maza—house-made cheese in fresh herbs, spices, marinated olives, tomato-pepper-onion salad and flatbread. Entrées include Tabrizi kooftah balls, Moroccan apricot chicken and Mexican fish tacos. Finish with a thick slice of gingerbread prepared with herbal tea and served with five-spice whipped cream. Enjoy a selection of over 100 premium loose-leaf teas, gourmet coffees, chai, beer, wine and liquor. Reservations are required for traditional afternoon tea. In-house or off-site catering.
