Dedicated in August, Pearl Street Mall (pictured at left) is “Boulder’s Front Porch, a place to sit and watch the people go by, a place to stroll and look in the store windows, a place to meet and make friends, a place to be entertained,” wrote Jane Cracraft in an article in the Denver Post on Oct. 9, 1978
